Position Overview

We're looking for a Painter - Industrial to join our production team. You'll be responsible for formulating, mixing, prepping, and applying coatings to a wide range of custom parts and surfaces. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, precision work, and custom fabrication.

Key Responsibilities

• Mix and match primers, top coats, and finishes based on client specifications
• Thin paint for brush or spray application
• Sand, clean, and prep surfaces; mask parts for painting
• Apply paint using approved spray equipment to a high standard
• Perform quality checks and correct surface flaws or inconsistencies
• Maintain a clean, organized paint booth and workspace
• Perform routine maintenance on spray equipment and tools
• Properly handle, store, and dispose of all coatings and hazardous materials
• Keep accurate inventory of paint materials and supplies
• Occasionally assist in other shop tasks or project needs

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in paint mixing and prep
• Knowledge of industrial and commercial-grade finishes and applications
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, paint formulas, and safety protocols
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs and perform physical labor (standing, reaching, bending)
• Comfortable working on ladders and in various climate conditions
• Able to wear PPE, work in a paint booth and follow all safety guidelines
• Reliable transportation to Sturtevant, WI

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a custom production or exhibit fabrication setting
• Familiarity with a wide range of materials and coatings
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a fast-moving team
• Comfortable with hand and power tools
